Open .onion links straight from Chrome

Chrome has no Tor client. This points it at the SOCKS5 port you already run and sends .onion — and nothing else — through it.

  • Toolbar icon opens this directory
  • *.onion over SOCKS5, everything else stays direct
  • Holds a .onion click when Tor is off, instead of leaking the address to your resolver
  • Search hidden services from the address bar with the onion keyword

Neither replaces Tor Browser: routing fixes reachability and DNS leakage, not browser fingerprinting. The bar widget only reads published status — it never touches the Tor network itself.

tor.lt is a local directory of Tor hidden service mirrors, grouped by category. Status badges reflect the most recent probe cycle written into the page.

The page is static HTML: no frameworks, no third-party trackers, readable with Tor Browser at Safest.

Every 240 minutes a scheduled job walks every listed mirror through a fresh Tor SOCKS circuit, records code, latency and a content fingerprint, rewrites this page and ships it.

Newly discovered addresses are never published automatically: they wait in a review queue (24 pending) until a human approves them.

The same result is published as JSON at /status.json — every mirror with its state, latency and uptime, refreshed by the same cycle that writes this page.
